The soul has one final goal in this journey - of ‘Ascension’ – to ascend and to merge with the energy of the ‘Creator’. The ‘how to’ of the journey is decided by the ‘soul’ in consultation and agreement with the spiritual team. This team consists of masters, teachers and loved ones. They are those souls that have been on this journey before, are more evolved and have been with your soul through this journey – in parts or throughout. So, on this journey of ‘Ascension’, the soul goes through numerous births and rebirths – learning valuable lessons that help in moving further on this path.

After every death and before every birth, in the realm of ‘life between lives’ – the soul reflects on the journey, reviews the life just concluded, consults with the spiritual team, and decides the next part of the project - the lessons to be learnt in the coming life. And here comes in the element of ‘Soul Contracts’.

What are Soul Contracts? These are simply spiritual contracts between souls to aid each other in this journey of ‘Ascension’. Before the next birth, an agreement is made to be part of the upcoming life and aid in learning the lessons decided upon. You have a pre-natal arrangement where it is decided who will be your parents, life partner, siblings, friends etc.- all those people who will have a big impact in your life lessons. Meanwhile, they are also learning life lessons that are meant for their journey. It’s a mutually beneficial arrangement.

As you go through chosen life lessons, they play their roles as per the ‘soul contract’. To learn the act of forgiveness, someone must take responsibility for deeply hurting you. Thus, providing you the choice to either forgive them or stay resentful. To know how to be independent and strong, someone must ensure they abandon you at your worst hour. Thus giving you the opportunity to either stand up for yourself or fall down and succumb to your circumstances.

It’s all about your choice and free will as you make the journey. And if your choices fall in line with your objective, you grow further in the process of ‘Ascension’ and rise above the current state. Else you come back and take birth again and again till that lesson is completed and you have learnt to rise.

The way you choose to learn these lessons will be unique and based on your soul’s personal blueprint. These lessons evolve as per dynamic requirements that help you grow, as you progress. There are some lessons you have already mastered in the past, and there are others that will come to you when it’s your time.

Have you ever felt that you are parenting your parents or someone who is older in age? Yes, it happens because souls have different maturity levels. Don’t be fooled by the nature of relationship or the age you are in! Your soul has taken many births to reach its current level of maturity. And you are following your own ‘soul contract’ with them, of providing or taking care!
